New and returning fans of the Resident Evil franchise can now try their hands at a 30 minute demo of Resident Evil 2: Remake available on Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
The demo, appropriately titled 1-Shot Demo, allows players to experience the new and improved RPD police station for 30 minutes before turning off forever.
I’ve been a franchise fan since the beginning and the demo feels more dark and claustrophobic than other over-the-shoulder Resident Evil titles. It’s been over 20 years since we first experienced Leon S. Kennedy’s first day on the force and it was both different and oddly familiar, particularly the dark room on the first floor. I finished the demo in about 18 minutes, suffering two bites along the way.
Resident Evil 2: Remake releases Jan. 25 for the Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. The demo will be open past release, shutting down on Jan. 31.
