Bandai Namco today announced its upcoming DLC 1, 2, and 3 updates for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. The main theme of the content is futuristic aerial combat involving “autonomous” or “unmanned” aircraft. What level of involvement the assumingly CPU-operated aircraft will have is unknown. In addition, the update will also feature new “manned” aircraft which should add variety to your sky battles.

New aircraft coming in the DLC packages will include: ADF-11F (unmanned), ADF-01 FALKEN (unmanned), and the ADFX-01 Morgan (manned). New aircraft skins are also on the way with the: F22A Mobius skin, Su-30M2 Sol skin, and X-02S Strike Wyvern skin. Lastly, an arsenal of new special weapons will also be deployed with these upcoming DLC updates. Details on the weapons are yet to come.

Ace Combat 7 aces will love the upcoming DLC 1/2/3 updates with “autonomous” aircraft.

Squadron emblems, a cornerstone in Ace Combat lore, are also receiving new additions and are intended to add distinction and pride to players’ teams. The new squadron emblems include: Phoenix, Mobius, Garuda, Wardog, Galm, and more.

The announcement has had a generally good reception from the community, with some players asking for “PvE” content, which would be interesting. You can check out the trailer for the new Ace Combat 7 DLC here.

Looking to purchase the game? As of right now, the game is on sale on Amazon for PS4! Xbox One players may also secure their physical copy from Amazon, maybe at a lower price in the future!

The FALKEN and Raven are not unmanned. They are both piloted via the coffin system. The Ravens in Mission 20 have are unmanned though.

Noted! Not sure where Bandai Namco was going with the Falken but they reported it as unmanned in their press release :shrugs:. Raven wasn’t mentioned.
