Developer Kicksome Entertainment revealed yesterday its brand new title In Defense of Aliens – a third-person tower defense / action hybrid set to release on Steam Early Access this Summer.
The game was unveiled via an announcement trailer, which gives players a glimpse of the third person shooter combat. The trailer shows off its vibrant, colorful art and promises multiple heroes to choose from, a selection of defensive items for your base, and a variety of upgrade-able weapons.
In Defense of Aliens is a fast-paced, hybrid tower defense game in which heroes defend allied civilizations from onslaughts of militant aliens. Mixing strategic tower defense tactics with impactful third-person combat, In Defense of Aliens is described by Studio Founder Nitin Malhotra as “‘Dungeon Defenders meets Lemmings in a strange but beautiful world’ – that’s the goal we set out to achieve when my kids and I first dreamed up In Defense of Aliens. Now, more than five years later, we’re all extremely excited to share the game with the world and hope it brings them the same amount of fun with cooperative play that inspired us to create it.”
The best part is that Kicksome invites players to join them on their journey and take up arms against the alien menace by signing up to the game’s free alpha, exclusive to those who join its Discord server.
In Defense of Aliens will launch via Steam Early Access later this Summer.
